Every result shows its rating, whether it is trading right now, and how far you have to walk. The buttons go straight out to directions, the website or the phone. Nothing sits in between.

How the list stays short
We say no far more often than yes.
whereto started because finding one good meal meant reading pages of reviews written by people who had never been. We set a bar, held it, and left almost everything out. What survives is short enough to read at the lights.
The standard
Most places do not make it.
Where the bar sits stays ours. The effect is easy enough to check: search anything and count what comes back. If a list looks short, that is the point.
Kept current
Hours, not guesses.
Ratings, opening hours and phone numbers are read from Google the moment you search, not copied into a database last year. If a stall shuts for the holidays, you see it before you walk over.
